Esta es otra banda holandesa que no ocupa el lugar que se merece.Arrancaron en Amsterdam en el 83´y sacaron dos LP fabulosos!!! que fueron reeditados en el 2001 en un cd que contiene los dos albunes.El estilo de "Angus"combina el sonido clasico de la N.W.O.B.H.M con Speed.Los temas tienen tecnica,velocidad y melodia.La vocalizacion epica le da un aire de epopeya que sumado al arte de tapa pone a "Track of Doom" muy cerca de la perfeccion....

Este es el segundo disco de los holandeses "Angus".El bajista original fue reemplazado por razones de salud.Para ser breve y claro este disco de Autentico Metal igual que el anterior si hubiera salido en otro pais con mayor mercado, sin ninguna duda hoy seria considerado un clasico por las revistas "especializadas"..

Vortex "Hammer of the North" 2003 (Holanda)
"Vortex" fue fundado en Groningen (Holanda) en 1979.Estuvieron activos hasta el 90´y durante esos años lanzaron dos albunes"Metal Bats" y "Open The Gate" que hoy son considerados piezas muy valiosas para los coleccionistas,por suerte en los ultimos años se reeditaron en cd y vinilo, con un montón de bonus tracks. Pasaron los años y la banda siguio siendo popular al menos en su pais hasta que finalmente regresaron y lo destacable del asunto es que no se juntaron para sacar un refrito ni a recordar viejos tiempos.
En el 2000 sacaron un EP llamado "The Mill" con cuatro temas nuevos bien agresivos que aca estan como bonus y en el 2003 con la reunion totalmente consumada presentaron"Hammer of the North" un álbum de estudio completamente nuevo con dos bonus en vivo.Los años le sientan bien porque esta tan bueno o mas que los que sacaron en la decada del 80´.La produccion por razones obvias esta mejor,todos los temas suenan mortales y la voz es imcomparable,lo que se dice una banda afiladisima.Estos muchachos fueron precursores e innovadores en Holanda y tienen tanta energia como en sus comienzos,en el 2005 sacaron otro disco y siguen activos dando conciertos,al escucharlos se nota que volvieron porque llevan el Metal en la sangre!!!

Este EP contiene material de alta pureza metalera!!!La banda es de Texas y en los comienzos tenia dos damas en la formacion,la terrible vocalista Erika Swinnich y la guitarrista Beverly Barrington que hace una dupla asesina con el otro violero Stuart Lawrence (ex"Agony Column").Completan la formacion el bajista Brendon Bigelow y el batero Pat Doyle, otros veteranos de la escena subterranea. "Take To The Sky" fue lanzado en forma independiente y no es casualidad que el sello especializado brasilero Dies Irae en el 2005 lo saque en vinilo (edicion limitada) y en el 2007 los alemanes de High RollerRecord tambien.

"Adolf Castle" solo saco este disco, pero fue suficiente para convertirse inmediatamente en uno de los más populares de la antigua URSS.Es Heavy Metal poderoso,veloz y salvaje similar a a algunas bandas alemanas pero con personalidad propia ya que utilizan melodías de música folclórica europea y algunos solos de guitarra estan tocados con una balalaika."Really Crazy Germans" se edito en KST en 1994 y en el 99´dos compañias lo reeditaron en cd con diferentes bonus,aca estan incluidos los dos.Se recomienda escuchar en compañia de una cerveza bien helada!!!! .

Rotting Corpse "The Demos" 2005
