..Whether you love or truly hate power metal, I would strongly recommend listening to Salt. It’s different, unique and inventive and even an Angry Metal Guy can like this and not feel too unmanly. Lately I have received many releases from the Doom Metal scene and fortunately they were all in a very high level. Well this is another one of them. HEATHENDOM play very power and they manage to create a great atmosphere in their work. The voice of the lead singer is very good and covers the demands of a band from this scene something that is not an easy situation. The compositions although they have many changes don't get you bored, but they mange to keep your attention all the way from the beginning until the end. read review here

In a few words: their music has many Doom elements like bands as CANDLEMASS, SOLITUDE AETURNUS with an extra Swedish touch of MEMORY GARDEN and MEMENTO MORI. [......] Esoteric lyrics of inside exploration together with some religious or society topics fit perfectly with the whole musical ’building’. Things will become more surprising with songs like "Burn". What to say, what to write! Just listen to it. The refrain will melt your brain, a groundbreaking composition with a titanic doomy bridge and some out-of-this-planet vocals. ...So in the end what shall my verdict be? This is definitely much better stuff than the average band of this type. Even without the thrash metal elements the power metal elements are superior to most comparable bands (just check out the song "Heaven's Falling Down" for an example of excellent melodic German power metal), yet the thrash metal incorporated into their sound is what makes them not only slightly over average, but very good in this subgenre, it's what makes them stand out from the masses... rating 8.5/10 read the review here

...Dawn of Destiny is really on to something. They have chosen to work within a metal genre that is not well-known for innovation or variety, yet their songs have an incredible freshness and fervor. They continue to craft enthusiastic music with an extremely appealing mix of satisfying variety and complexity along with unbelievably hooky choruses – and did I mention they have one of the best female vocalists in metal today?... rating 9/10 read the review here
