... MANTICORA is one of those rare bands operating completely in its own sphere. The band inhabits the Progressive Power Metal genre, but has a sound that is uniquely its own.rating 8,5/10 read the revuew here

...In normal English this means, that they play energetic metal featuring some epical and symphonic elements. It is pretty obvious that Manticora has a lot of experience in recording concept albums. A lot of effects and sounds are featured to create the right atmosphere, and top-notch producer Tommy Newton has taken care for the most suitable sound for this cd. ... I think that Machinae Supremacy demonstrate that they have the ideas and potential for an absolutely killer album. The technical guitar work on “Redeemer” is really good, the changes of tempo are well managed and there are some other great touches, including the “video game music” element which is an unnecessary overstatement and a bit misleading. They do need to channel their ideas, do their own thing and show more of a sense of direction with their style. For me “Redeemer” is not the perfect album, but it’s got great technical qualities, it’s varied, very interesting and enjoyable... read the review here

...Ultimately, this is better than I expected it to be. Mostly, this is rooted in straightforward, driving heavy metal, and that's never a bad thing. There are some ballads and unnecessary modern touches throughout, but they don't really diminish the overall quality of this product. If you like modern bands like Scar Symmetry and Daysend, or really dig what Soilwork pulled off with Natural Born Chaos, you could do a lot worse than Machinae Supremacy... rating 4/6 read the review here
